WebMethods Cluster testing - R&D; October 2004 – December 2004

  • Solution design for clustered WebMethods - based on RHEL 2.x, HP-UX 11i and MS Windows Server 2003
  • Installation and configuration of clustered WebMethods (1xBroker, 2xIntegration Server, 2xRepository Server, 1xOracle 8i RDBMS on HP-UX)
  • Test scenarios definition: failover capabilities and load testing
  • Performing tests
  • Preparation of summary report and presentation with recommendations

  


 

Implementation of GraphTalk/AIA and corresponding systems in PZU Życie S.A.; January 2005 – July 2008

  • Oracle Databases 9i/10g administration and development
  • Oracle Application Server 10g administration and development
  • BMC Control-M administration and development
  • AIX 5L administration
  • MS Windows Server 2003 administration
  • SuSE Enterprise Linux 9.x administration
  • GraphTalk Developer 3.x and AIA 4.0 administration and development
  • Reporting system solution design, development and maintenance
  • PKI solution design, development and maintenance (based on Java, J2EE, Bouncy Castle and iText Libraries)
  • Document printing system maintenance (based on XML Publisher by Oracle)
  • Batch Scheduling solution design, development and maintenance
  • Team leading of a team of very experienced systems administrators
  • Trainings of internal and external staff for the purposes of overall system maintenance – including training material preparation (both in Polish and English)
  • Procedures definition, monthly reports preparation and coordination of the administrators team according to the Service Level Agreements between Service Provider (my Company) and the Client (insurance company)

 


 

Primary Data Centre Extension; August 2008 – October 2008

  • Strict cooperation with Nordea’s Project Manager, our Team Leader and data centre expert
  • Technical requirements and standards definition
  • Supervising external contractors during construction works which were done in the mixed-purpose building (adaptation of space and building infrastructure)
  • Implementation of Building Management System
  • Implementation of data centre management system
  • Operational procedures and regulations definition
  • Infrastructure monitoring systems implementation and enhancements

Data Centre Physical Infrastructure Manager; August 2008 – today

  • Requirements gathering and implementation of internal data centre facilities and physical infrastructure management system, which supports asset management, change management, events tracking, reporting, as well as selected DMS (Document Management System), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and monitoring system features
  • Main application designed in client-server model
  • Integration with other systems (NMS, CMDB etc.) where required
  • Used technologies: MySQL, SAMBA, ODBC, MS Access, VBA, C#, SNMP
  • Implemented in Poland and Baltic Countries.

DCPI Manager was presented on Datacenter Dynamics 2012 "Converged” Warsaw conference.

  


 

Disaster Recovery Centre Construction, DRC; October 2010 – December 2011

  • Concept design of cold-aisle containments
  • Concept design of Main Distribution Frame for cabling management
  • Technical requirements and standards definition
  • Supervising constriction works performed by external company
  • Supervising operational procedures definition and implementation in cooperation with the contractor
  • Regular site reviews, quality controls and standards revision
  • Strict cooperation with Nordea’s Project Manager
This project was presented on Datacenter Dynamics 2013 "Converged" Warsaw conference, some challenges related to this project were also presented on "Infratech - physical infrastructure for server rooms and data centers" conference (Warsaw, 2013).

  


 

Concept Design of Structural Cabling Infrastructure; January 2011 – October 2011

Technology:

  • Main Distribution Frame topology (separate distribution point for cabling infrastructure)
  • Internal logical lines with 1Gigabit Ethernet (cat. 5e) 24 AWG, 24-pair pre-terminated cables and tested MRJ21 connectors (AMP Netconnect)
  • Internal logical lines with factory-tested and ready to use 12-fiber FO MM XG 50/125 um OM3 cables with a factory-terminated and tested MPOptimate connectors (AMP Netconnect)

Tasks:

  • Conducting analyses in scope of technology needs within IT department teams
  • Concept project definition in scope of technical assumptions and mechanical construction
  • Product research in accordance with the company internal procedures (processing tender proposals)
  • Offered product comparisons in accordance to price and quality
  • Supervising construction works performed by external company
  • Regular site reviews, quality controls and standards revision
  • Maintenance and operations procedures definition 
  • Strict cooperation with Nordea's Project Manager

Nordea Operations Centre - Nordea Bank AB - building infrastructure extension; August 2012 – January 2013

  • Technical requirements and standards definition
  • Supervising constriction works performed by external company
  • Regular site reviews, quality controls and standards revision
  • Strict cooperation with Nordea Operations Centre (NOC) and Nordea Bank AB
  • Taking care of budget and schedule

Turbo project - opening new business branches for Nordea Bank Polska S.A.:
